ReUseIt Project: Stick Um's Level: Easy Time: 1 Hour (not including drying time)
Materials: 9" and 6" square pieces of a white plastic grocery bag 12" square piece of thin cardboard | Supplies: Mod Podge Paint Tape Pattern | Tools: Scissors | Notes: Picture pattern is up to you! |
| Tape the 9" piece of plastic to the cardboard.Place the pattern on top of the plastic and mark the plastic about an 1" over the size of the pattern. | | |
Using a paint brush, apply 2 heavy layers of Mod Podge the size of the marks, as smooth as possible, allowing to dry in between layers. |
|
|
| After it's completely dry, place the pattern on the layers of Mod Podge then tape the 6" piece of plastic over top of the pattern. |
| |
Since you can see thru the plastic, it's not neccessary to draw the pattern, just start painting! The neat thing is,if you mess up, it's easy to wipe off or if the paint has dried, use a craft knife and lightly draw a line over the area and peal off.Or,you can just replace the plastic! Once the paint dries, remove the top piece of plastic with the painted design and trim around the edge. |
|
|
Secure the design to the dried layers of Mod Podge by applying a small amount of Mod Podge either on the back of the design or on top of the Mod Podge layers, to hold in place.Apply 2 layers of Mod Podge over top of the design, allowing to dry in between layers.
| After the project is completely dry, gently peel off from the first layer of Mod Podge at one of the corner marks. You can cut out the design or cut a shape around the design. It sticks great to windows or the frig!

This same procedure can work for a large window scene (I'm thinking of doing one for Christmas decor) or putting several designs together and moving them around for a different look etc...they can be removed and placed over and over again!
